Aldo Scutari honored with Pedro and Barbara Granadillo Professorship
Aldo Scutari, professor of industrial engineering, has been named the Pedro and Barbara Granadillo Professor of Industrial Engineering.
Scutari, who was previously named Thomas and Jane Schmidt Rising Star Associate Professor (2018-21), holds a joint appointment with the Elmore School of Electrical and Computer Engineering. Scutari's research areas of interest include machine learning and algoritms, mathematical optimization theory/methods and (engineering) applications, and more.

Recently Scutari has delivered keynote addresses at both the IEEE International Workshop on Signal Processing Advances in Wireless Communications and the International Conference on Computational Optimization.
