Senior Engineering Laboratory Specialist

Job Summary

The Senior Engineering Laboratory Specialist will work in the newly launched Gateway Complex. This complex includes six separate labs that instruct graduate and undergraduate students in advanced manufacturing processes, CNC machining, 3D additive manufacturing, cyber-physical research, virtual reality, platform development, simulation, motion-capture, ergonomics, digital scanning, and metrology. The Senior Engineering Laboratory Specialist should be a self-starter who seeks to impact how Purdue Industrial Engineering navigates Industry 4.0 and digital technologies. This position will provide hands-on technical services and practical application guidance to students and faculty in research and instruction in a manufacturing and engineering laboratory environment. This position may focus on any combination of the following, dependent upon candidate’s skill set(s) and departmental/laboratory needs:

Graduate Program Administrator

Job Summary

The Graduate Program Administrator will provide support to students and the School of Industrial Engineering (IE). Specifically, the Graduate Program Administrator will provide broad support for the administration of the various graduate programs (Master’s and PhD) offered within the school; advise graduate students (predominately non-thesis MS students) regarding their coursework and assist with other student affairs; manage the admissions process for non-thesis MS programs; coordinate and execute recruiting activities for the Master’s and PhD programs, in conjunction with the Senior Graduate Program Administrator; and coordinate and execute other events and seminars related to the School of IE’s graduate programs.
