Senior Graduate Program Advisor & Administrator

The Senior Graduate Program Administrator will meet a variety of university objectives. Areas of focus may include academic, non-academic, outreach, or entertainment programs. The person in this role will also participate in the development and implementation of program policies, processes, and procedures, may handle program assessment, and implement new program initiatives, facilitate communications and foster relationships with internal and external constituents, and may participate in budget allocation. 45% of the time will be spent allocated to Graduate Program Administration, 35% to Graduate Academic Counseling and Advising, and 20% to Graduate Admissions, Student Recruitment, and Communications.

Communications Specialist and Liason

The marketing and communications specialist and liaison will execute various communications functions. Areas of focus may include writing, editing, producing multimedia, creating education marketing materials, maintaining social media and web content, or generating promotional pieces. Additional duties may include ensuring internal and external communications align with the university's brand, tracking and communicating the status of projects, and collaborating with vendors completing projects.

Graduate Program Administrator

The Graduate Program Administrator will assist the Director of Academic Programs to maintain and update policy documents. Administer both MS and PhD degree programs consistent with Graduate School and Industrial Engineering policy.  Support the Director of Industry Relations and Director of Academic Programs to create and facilitate logistics of external non-degree professional education programs. Assist students in determining and evaluating their interests and abilities, and help students link their interests/abilities with programs, emphasis areas, and Purdue resources. Guide students in developing a plan of study that meets all degree requirements and fits within their timetable for graduation. Support the graduate admission processes in conjunction with IE Graduate Committee and Director of Academic Programs. Develop program information documents, forms, and web displays and coordinate assembly of graduate student information for University bulletins and other publications.
