IE alumnus, Anuj Mehta (BS IE '19), and cofounders recently won the Purdue Burton D. Morgan Business Model Competition.

The competition was virtual for the first time since it's inception this year. Anuj and his team took top honors with their startup, Glimpse

“My co-founders, Akash and Kushal, and I started Glimpse, a platform where short-term rental hosts can earn revenue by placing branded products in their properties. Throughout our participation in the Business Model Competition, we learned and iterated on our business like crazy. Between talking to rental property owners, negotiating deals with companies, and building our web platform, we have each grown immensely and look forward to putting the prize money back into growing our business.”

Glimpse helps short-term rental hosts connect with online brands to get products into their rental property. We track when a guest of the property buys the same item for themselves after staying with the host, and pay the host a commission for helping drive the sale so it’s a win-win.

The Burton D. Morgan Center for Entrepreneurship at Purdue University organizes an annual Business Model Competition.

The competition format provides participants with an opportunity to develop and improve transferable skills that will serve them well within this specific competition but also be valuable throughout their career journey.  The workshops, seminars, and training provided for participants are delivered by different organizations across Purdue University (Purdue Foundry, Krannert School of Management, Purdue Polytechnic, Communications, etc).  This element to the Business Model Competition introduces the students to new frameworks, methodologies, and approaches that they can apply in future endeavors.
