The Board of Trustees for Institute of Industrial Engineers has chosen to rename its Student Award for Excellence in honor of Dr. James W. Barany.  The award recognizes undergraduate students who have distinguished themselves through excellence of scholarship and campus leadership.  The aim is to single out those who have brought distinction to industrial engineering at their institution.  The award will be presented each year at the IIE Annual Conference.
