The College of Engineering is cordially invited to attend the School of Industrial Engineering Rising Star Professorship Reception on Friday, October 12.

Dr. Wenzhuo Wu, assistant professor of industrial engineering, will be awarded the Ravi and Eleanor Talwar Rising Star Professorship in Industrial Engineering. He heads the Wu Group, and his research interests include innovating nanotechnologies through the design, nanomanufacturing, and integration of functional materials with controlled composition and architecture across multiple length scales; and carrying out groundbreaking trans-disciplinary research to generate hierarchical materials and structures with applications in sensing, renewable energy, electronics, and wearable devices.

The School of Industrial Engineering awards Rising Star professorships to Assistant or Associate Professors who have demonstrated exceptional accomplishments and leadership in research, teaching and/or engagement.

The reception will take place from 2:00-4:00 PM in the Peter Wang Student Center in Grissom Hall, 315 N. Grant Street, West Lafayette.
