A unique advantage that the Purdue's Master of Engineering Management program provides is the flexibility and customization of its curriculum. I have been extremely satisfied with the program throughout my first year because it checks all the boxes. Purdue MEM has allowed me to continue working full time in my engineering career, while presenting me with opportunities to learn valuable skills that are directly applicable to my current role as well as skills that will help me achieve my professional goals. Not to mention, the curriculum is a very realistic price.

Purdue MEM's flexible scheduling is the reason that I am able to continue working full time at Eli Lilly as a process engineer without interruption, while still getting the irreplaceable value from taking classes on-campus. I can decide which classes I take from a diverse list of disciplines and schedule them around my work schedule. In addition, the program allows me to take two classes each semester in order to not overload myself as a part-time student.

The customization that Purdue MEM allows is what attracted me to this program when I was an undergrad at Purdue. It enables me to pick and choose from basically any engineering course, which means I can build a curriculum that fits just for me. I have taken a BME course on Polymers and IE courses in Statistical Quality Control and Advanced Manufacturing Techniques. As someone who works in manufacturing of pharmaceutical devices, I use these concepts daily. This has been extremely valuable for me.

The business courses offered by Krannert seal the deal. These courses not only provide knowledge that add context to my current role, but they also teach critical skills that I will use on my professional journey. This mix of curriculum helps to open even more doors than getting a degree in just one discipline or the other. The MEM program no doubt gives me a step up in my career with a degree from two highly respected colleges at Purdue.
