The coming year will see a several transitions at many levels.  Fortunately, the School of Engineering Education has well-established vision, mission, goals, and values that provide a clear direction over the long run.  The August 25 seminar will identify some key priorities for the coming year and provide faculty, staff, and students with an opportunity to give input on the list of priorities and plans for implementing them.


Dr. Fentiman's Bio

Audeen Fentiman is the Interim Head and Crowley Family Professor in Engineering Education.  She is also Associate Dean for Graduate Education and Interdisciplinary Programs in the College of Engineering.  Dr. Fentiman came to Purdue from Ohio State University where she led a team that transformed the first year engineering program and served in a series of leadership positions – director of the interdisciplinary Environmental Science Graduate Program, Chair of the Nuclear Engineering Program, Director of the Nuclear Reactor Laboratory, and Associate Dean for Outreach and Special Projects, overseeing the Women in Engineering Program, Minority Engineering Program, and Communications Office.  Prior to becoming a faculty member, Dr. Fentiman was a high school math teacher and spent 10 years in industry.  She is a Fellow of the American Nuclear Society and the American Association for the Advancement of Science and was a 2010-2011 American Council on Education Fellow which provided her with a year-long opportunity to study university administration.
