Justin Mahlberg receives Edward J. Cox Memorial Transportation Scholarship Award

CE master's student Justin Mahlberg has been named a recipient of the 2020-2021 Edward J. Cox Memorial Transportation Scholarship Award. The award is presented annually by the Indiana Section of the Institute of Transportation Engineers.

Lyles School of Civil Engineering graduate student Justin Mahlberg has been named a recipient of the 2020-2021 Edward J. Cox Memorial Transportation Scholarship Award. The award is presented annually by the Indiana Section of the Institute of Transportation Engineers.

Justin is a first-year master's student at Purdue University, working under Dr. Darcy Bullock. His current research interest regards Optimization of Winter Operations, Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) Geographical Mapping, and Connected Vehicles. Prior to coming to Purdue, he completed his bachelor's degree in civil engineering at University of Wisconsin - Platteville, He is a current member of the Purdue Student Chapter of ITE, Lyles School of Civil Engineering Student Ambassador, and Purdue Student Chapter of ASCE. Aside from his engineering work, Justin is also an outdoor enthusiast and enjoys hiking, biking, and traveling.

The main purpose of the award is to encourage students to consider Transportation Engineering/Planning in their studies and career aspirations, and to provide partial financial support for tuition and fees to students who have demonstrated an interest and are likely to work in the transportation field.
