Congratulations to Prof. Antonio Bobet for being selected by the ASCE GeoInstitute Board of Governors to receive the 2011 Ralph Peck Award. He received the award for his outstanding contributions to the geotechnical engineering profession; particularly, his case study on the earthquake-induced failure of the Daikai Station (Kobe) and, based thereupon, the development of analysis/design procedures for shallow underground structures subject to seismically-induced deformation.

Prof. Bobet will be presented with the Peck Medal at the GeoFrontiers 2011 Conference in March.
