Ph.D. student Seyed Amir Sadeghi and his co-authors (including Prof. Karava, Assistant Professor of Civil Engineering and CEM) received the first prize in the Student Best Paper Award Competition at the 3rd International High Performance Buildings Conference at Purdue for the paper entitled "Stochastic model predictive control of mixed-mode buildings based on probabilistic interactions of occupants with window blinds."
