August Mack Environmental, Inc.

"Don't be afraid to change. Work hard to achieve your goals. And remember, achievement only has value when shared."

Bryan Petriko was born in Chicago to William and Madeleine Petriko and grew up in Indianapolis. From an early age, his hobbies focused around experimenting, constructing, and learning how things were made.

When it came time for college, Bryan knew that he was destined to be an engineer. He chose Purdue because of the engineering college's reputation and value. During his freshman year at Purdue, he took Civil Engineering Professor James Etzel's "Introduction to Environmental Engineering" and instantly knew he had discovered both a career and passion that would allow him to create and construct permanent solutions to complicated problems.

After graduation, through a suggestion from Civil Engineering Professor Robert Jacko, he went to work as a Project Engineer with ETA Engineering, Inc. where he designed and installed industrial ventilation systems. In 1988, he opened August Mack Environmental with his business partner and friend, Geoff Glanders. August Mack performs environmental investigations, remediation, due diligence and regulatory compliance services for attorneys, developers, financial institutions and industrial facilities. Bryan and Geoff have transformed a small company with a handful of employees into one that provides a meaningful career for over 150 employees and their families.

Shortly after starting August Mack, Bryan met his wife, Dawn, with whom he has four grown children. The family enjoys sporting events, boating, vacationing, and spending time together.

Throughout his career, Bryan has achieved closure of numerous Superfund Sites. He has acted as an expert witness in Clean Air Act and LUST related cases and has decontaminated millions of square feet of industrial facilities.

From August Mack's inception, Bryan and Geoff made sure that their growing company was also giving back to the community. August Mack Environmental has supported several organizations such as the United Way, The Villages, Lutherwood Children's Home, and Providence Cristo Rey since the beginning of the company.

Bryan looks forward to the future of August Mack and continuing to inspire his employees to be the best that they can be.
