Specific goals for the course
Student learning outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course the student shall be able to:
develop knowledge of engineering material properties of concrete and mild reinforcing steel.
develop technical competence on flexure and shear theory and design procedures for reinforced concrete beams, one-way slabs and columns under uniaxial bending.
develop technical competence on the theory and procedures to calculate deflections of reinforced concrete beams and one-way slabs.
develop technical competence on the theory and procedures to detail reinforcement in reinforced concrete beams, one-way slabs and columns.
