Congratulations to Prof. Santiago Pujol, recipient of the Walter L. Huber Civil Engineering Research Prize from the American Society of Civil Engineers. The award is conferred on members of the Society at any grade for notable achievements in research related to civil engineering.

Prof. Pujol is being honored for his achievements in devising simple and useful solutions to complex problems related to earthquake and high-velocity-impact loads on structures. He is a member of the Reinforced Concrete Columns Committee and the Shear and Torsion Committee within ASCE’s Structural Engineering Institute, and his experimental and field research has produced results for simplifying engineering design tasks.
