Pablo Orosa Iglesias places in Top 5 of 2025 Graduate School Postdoc Mentor Awardees

Pablo Orosa Iglesias, a Research Associate in the Lyles School of Civil and Construction Engineering and a proud Boilermaker for the past three years, has been named one of the Top 5 recipients of Purdue's 2025 Excellence in Postdoctoral Mentoring Award for the second year in a row! Out of 42 nominees from across the entire Purdue University, he was notably the only scholar from the College of Engineering to receive this distinction!
Originally from Spain, Dr. Orosa earned his Ph.D. from the University of A Coruña in 2022. At Purdue, he leads and contributes to several transportation infrastructure research projects under the supervision of Prof. John Haddock, in collaboration with INDOT. His research interests include transportation infrastructure and pavements, sustainable and innovative construction materials, recycled materials and waste valorization, circular economy, decarbonization and CO capture, and resilient infrastructure systems.
What has made this recognition possible is Dr. Orosa's passion for teaching and mentoring. During his time at Purdue, in addition to his significant research efforts, he mentored numerous graduate students and postdoctoral researchers and actively supported teaching efforts in pavement and materials courses within the CE program.
