Pablo Orosa Iglesias places in Top 5 of 2024 Graduate School Postdoc Mentor Awardees

Pablo Orosa Iglesias, Post-Doctoral Research Assistant in the Lyles School of Civil Engineering, placed in the top five of 38 nominees put forward by faculty and students as the top candidates from colleges across the Purdue campus for the 2024 Graduate School Postdoc Mentor Award.

Dr. Orosa Iglesias actively contributes to various pavement and materials research projects from Purdue and INDOT. He completed his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering at the University of A Coruña (UDC) in June 2022, where his research focused on unveiling fundamental insights into the mechanical behavior and curing characteristics of cold recycled asphalt mixtures, recently receiving the Extraordinary PhD Award.

Throughout his academic journey, Pablo has integrated mentoring, teaching and research, primarily focusing on pavement materials, pavement management systems, sustainable practices, waste valorization, and circular economy principles. His work emphasizes a commitment to advancing knowledge and innovation in civil engineering, promoting environmentally conscious and resilient infrastructure solutions. Since joining purdue he has been involved as an instructor in civil engineering courses such as CE535, CE461, or CE563.
