Abstract
Dr. Rebecca McDaniel will share lessons about life and a career in civil engineering that she learned from her mentor, Prof Leonard Wood. Prof Wood introduced McDaniel to the benefits of involvement in professional organizations, where to find cheap restaurants in Washington, D.C., and the fascinating world of asphalt technology. She will also muse about the future of asphalt in a changing world.
