Jie Shan, Reilly Professor of Civil Engineering, was presented the Schwidefsky Medal at the 25th International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ISPRS) Congress in Toronto, Canada.

The award recognizes his outstanding performance as an exemplary scholar, author, and editor who has significantly shaped the literature of spatial information sciences. Through his seminal books on LiDAR data processing, his extensive high-impact publications, and his dedicated editorial leadership in leading international journals, he has profoundly advanced global education and research in photogrammetry and remote sensing.
