CE Grad Student Heather Gall is studying environmental engineering and working on a research project that monitors hormone levels in the waters of local streams and tile drains.

Research led by Prof. Chad Jafvert suggests synthetic carbon molecules called fullerenes, or buckyballs, have a high potential of being accumulated in animal tissue, but the molecules also appear to break down in sunlight, perhaps reducing their possible environmental dangers.
