Woei-Chyi Chang, Postdoctoral Researcher in the Lyles School of Civil and Construction Engineering, has been awarded the 2nd Place Prize in the Poster Competition at the 2025 ITS Michigan Annual Meeting.
Dr. Chang’s poster, titled “Digital Twin for Smarter and Safer Work Zone: Proactive Intrusion Detection and Warning,” showcases an innovative, integrated framework designed to proactively detect and mitigate work-zone intrusions. This multidisciplinary research forms part of an ongoing project funded by the U.S. Department of Transportation’s SMART Grant (Stage I), highlighting the team’s commitment to advancing connected and intelligent transportation safety solutions.
