ETA/Cuisenaire, the nation's leading provider of hands-on supplemental products for math, science and literacy education, has appointed CE Alumnus Jude Rake as President.

ETA/Cuisenaire, the nation's leading provider of hands-on supplemental products for math, science and literacy education, announces the appointment of Jude Rake as President.  Rake succeeds Dennis Goldman, who will retire at the end of this year, following 40 years of service.  Until that time, Goldman will continue as Chief Executive Officer of ETA/Cuisenaire.

"We are very pleased to welcome Jude to the ETA/Cuisenaire family," said Dennis Goldman. "We look forward to utilizing his expertise and leadership abilities to spearhead company growth and identify new opportunities that will contribute to the ongoing success of the company."

Rake most recently served as CEO of Papyrus-Recycled Greetings, Inc.  He has also served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Fellowes, the global leader in paper shredding and records storage; and as Chief Operating Officer of Consumer Imaging for the Eastman Kodak Company.  In addition, he has managed notable brands and led high-performance teams at S. C. Johnson Wax, The Clorox Company, and Pepsi-Cola International.  Rake has consistently been recognized for leadership, creativity, and marketing excellence, earning the prestigious Clio, Mobius, and Effie awards; and was twice named a Top 100 Marketer by Advertising Age magazine.

Rake earned his bachelors degree in civil engineering from Purdue University and his MBA in marketing and finance from the University of Chicago.  He is an active member of the Theta Chi Fraternity Alumni Board and a member of the Board of Directors of A Safe Place, a center for the prevention of domestic violence.  He was also recently recognized with an Alumni Achievement Award from Purdue University.

"Over the last 40 years, Dennis and his team have built an impressive business partnering with, and advocating for, teachers and school districts in their quest to educate our children," said Rake.  "It’s a noble mission, and the ETA/Cuisenaire team pursues it with passion and excellence.  I see what they have achieved as a solid foundation for future growth, and I’m thrilled to pitch in and help them build upon it."
