Allison McCue receives 2025 Construction Engineering Outstanding Alumni Award

"The heart of every project is its people."
Allison McCue (BSCNE 2006), Senior Vice President of Planning at Webcor, has received the 2025 Construction Engineering Outstanding Alumni Award.
Allison McCue ended up at Purdue University due to a simple twist of fate. Born in Washington, D.C. and raised in Golden, Colorado, Allison was looking at various schools across the country. She looked for two things: great engineering and a chance to run cross-country. Purdue offered both. From 2002 to 2006, Allison completed her degree and gained a wealth of knowledge, both in engineering and in life. Through CEM, she was placed with her internship firm, Webcor Builders, and has continued to work there for the last 22 years.
Allison started her career in Los Angeles, working in the self-performing concrete division. Not only did she use her drafting and engineering skills, Allison also gained the “bags-on” experience by building formwork, pouring concrete, and chipping out a few mistakes under the watchful eye of Webcor’s carpenters and laborers, mentoring her along the way. Over the next several years, Allison focused on learning everything she could about building. From San Diego, to Honolulu, to San Francsico, Allison worked on design-build student housing, a stadium, high-rise residential, and large campus work for some of the Silicon Valley tech giants. In 2018, she took on the leadership role as Senior Director of Webcor’s self-perform drywall division, building that group and its revenue over the course of three-and-a-half years.
In 2016, Allison and three other women leaders at Webcor started to focus on internal mentorship and growth of women in the industry. Following that effort, in 2018, Allison and this group of women leaders became the founders of Women of Webcor, the company’s first Employee Resource Group. From 2018 to 2025, Allison has held the Chair position, working both internally and externally to help those new to the industry, women in leadership and working mothers.
Allison has been recruiting at Purdue for the last 19 years and continues to support Purdue’s construction programs, including serving on the Purdue Polytechnic Institute’s School of Construction Management Technology Executive Construction Advisory Council. Allison has been named the SF Business Times Top 20 under 40 in 2022, and ENR’s California and National Top 20 Under 40 in 2023. Currently, Allison is the Senior Vice President for Project Planning at Webcor. Her passion and building expertise lend well to setting up Webcor’s projects for success. Allison and her husband, Tom, have been married for eight years and have two children, Mackenzie, age 6, and William, age 4.
