Dual Career Job Assistance
Many prospective, new and current faculty members within Purdue’s College of Engineering have a spouse or partner who is a talented professional with valuable skills. We understand finding a suitable career for your spouse or partner may be a crucial factor in your decision to come to Purdue and to stay. Our program can assist in job search efforts. Together, we can explore employment opportunities for your spouse or partner at Purdue, the Greater Lafayette, and the surrounding area.
Who is eligible?
To be eligible for dual career job search assistance, you must be a spouse or partner of a College of Engineering current or prospective faculty member (tenured/tenure track/research faculty/engineering practice). For Individuals affiliated with another unit, not within Engineering seeking assistance, please contact the Faculty Dual Career and Relocation Services.
What services are available?
- Professional consultation on their specific employment needs.
- Career counseling with an evaluation of career goals, interests, and values.
- Assistance with cv/resume writing, cover letter preparation, interview coaching, and offering of annual professional development workshops.
- Assistance identifying career opportunities at Purdue and area employers depending on their willingness to commute.
- Reaching out to hiring units to express their interest in a position and highlight their current dual career status.

How do I acquire these services?
To request dual career job search assistance through the Concierge Program, please complete the Application. Once the paperwork has been received and approved, the spouse or partner will be contacted to schedule an initial consultation meeting. The Concierge Program provides job search assistance; however, the program does not guarantee employment. Their own job search efforts are critical in securing suitable employment.
