Description:
The team will work to design an automated VSIC circuit integrated autonomous system to predict damage tolerance of an energy system in space operations. We will try to automate space meteorite and Space Debris impact tests. We will then develop an automated loop for integrating self healing on the go.
Goals:
- Modular impact tests at hypervelocity’s in space
- Damage tolerance protocols
- VSIC integrated autonomous system for damage monitoring
- Protecting VSIC against damage
Relevant Technologies:
Machine Learning, AI, VSIC (Large Scale Integrated Circuit fabrication, could be outsourced as well), Hypervelocity impact test training will be given, vacuum tubes, streak camera operation, spectroscopy operation
Website:
To be developed as part of the project
Prerequisites:
Interest, enthusiasm, time commitment and domain knowledge
Meeting Time:
Mondays, 5:00 - 5:30 pm
