Description:
Each year, the team designs a racecar with improvements and knowledge from the previous years. Throughout the fall and spring semester, the components are manufactured, assembled into a vehicle, and testing performed on the vehicle until competition. The goal of the team is to teach students principles of engineering, design, manufacturing, as well as teamwork. This team is restricted to existing members of FSAE with instructor approval.
Relevant technologies: Computer aided design, computer-based simulation, mechanical engineering, design and build open-wheel vehicle to compete in SAE intercollegiate competition
Prerequisites:
Programming experience with at least Matlab
Eligibility requirements: Approval from Formula SAE leadership team and/or prior involvement with SAE related organization.
