This team will work with the Purdue National Defense Society to build an autonomous VTOL (Vertical Take Off and Landing) drone. This drone will compete in the California UAS Competition. The drone will need to be able to identify targets on the ground, autonomously navigate to a target and deliver a payload as specified by the California UAS Competition. One of the payloads needs to be deployed gently to the target. In addition, the drone will need to be able to navigate to waypoints autonomously and geolocate targets on the ground.
