DQC: Distributed Quantum Computing with Atoms and Photons
DQC: This team will work to develop a distributed quantum computing platform with atoms and photons.

Detailed Description
Quantum computing represents a paradigm shift in computational capabilities, offering solutions beyond the reach of classical computers. However, it is extremely challenging to build a monolithic fully connected quantum computer with a very large number of qubits because of many physical limitations, while small-size quantum computers with a few qubits are technically ready. In this project, we aim to develop a distributed quantum computing (DQC) system, where single photons are used to interconnect small-size, cost-effective atomic quantum processor nodes to achieve quantum advantages beyond a single local quantum computer.
