Autonomous Motorsports Purdue
Advisors:
Description:
The AMP student club was founded with a vision of building a strong research program for autonomous racing at Purdue. We are currently competing in the Indy Autonomous Challenge (https://www.indyautonomouschallenge.com/), and our goal in this semester is to optimize a high speed (average 100 mph) autonomous racing algorithm for a simulated environment. Our team is also partnering with the United States Military Academy, West Point, and a professional racing team, whose expertise will provide valuable guidance.
Prerequisites:
First-year students are welcome. Familiarity with the Robot Operating System (ROS), Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM) algorithms, and/or machine learning algorithms (especially deep learning) is a plus.
