Description:

Purdue Electric Racing (PER) competes in the Society of Automotive Engineer’s electric vehicle competition every summer. PER’s goal is to design, build, and test a fully electric, formula 1 style vehicle to compete against other universities across the globe. Several electronics components need to be designed in order to deliver a maximum of 80kW of power to the electric motor safely and effectively. Team members must be diligent in all aspects of their design process in order to create reliable components that will withstand the rigorous standards of the electric automotive industry.

Prerequisites:

ECE 270, ECE 362, ECE 20001, C Programming, Circuit Design, PCB Design

Eligibility requirements: Approval from Purdue Electric Racing leadership team and/or prior involvement with SAE related organization.
