NE’s Chatzidakis recognized for Excellence in Teaching

Stylianos Chatzidakis, assistant professor of nuclear engineering at Purdue University, was among the College of Engineering faculty recognized for outstanding dedication to teaching in an Aug. 24 advertisement in the Purdue Exponent.

The recognition was based on results from the Center for Instructional Excellence’s teacher evaluation surveys. Instructors were evaluated on six questions measuring teaching effectiveness on a five-point scale. Eligible courses included undergraduate and graduate engineering courses with at least 10 students and a response rate of 50% or higher.

For the spring 2026 semester, instructors whose evaluation scores ranked at or above the 75th percentile were recognized across four course-size categories: small, medium, large and very large.

Chatzidakis’ recognition highlights the strong marks he received from students and his commitment to excellence in nuclear engineering education.
