Two Purdue University Nuclear Engineering students were part of a team chosen as winners of the 2016 Nuclear Innovation Bootcamp held August 1-12 on the campus of University of California, Berkeley.

The 2016 Nuclear Innovation Bootcamp was attended by twenty-five students from across the country, and was designed to train the next generation of students in developing and executing innovative ideas for today’s world.

Students collaborated on group projects in five design teams, and their projects concluded with presentations to an audience comprised of nuclear stakeholders, Silicon Valley entrepreneurs, and the general public. Purdue NE students Nikhil Bharadwaj and Ian Hamilton and their team members were chosen as winners after completing their final presentation.

Nuclear Innovation Bootcamp is sponsored by a collaborative group of partners from universities, laboratories, and companies. To learn more about Nuclear Innovation Bootcamp, visit: http://www.nuclearinnovationalliance.org/#!bootcamp/ks2mu
