Zadoks earned his bachelor’s, master’s and Ph.D. degrees, all in Mechanical Engineering, from Purdue in 1983, 1985, and 1988, respectively. He is the Engineering Technical Steward at Caterpillar, Inc.

His dedication to Purdue Engineering began as a graduate student, where he served as an instructor and student counselor helping to register first-year students and provide guidance and encouragement. In 2003, he joined the Freshman Engineering Advisory Council and has continued on the Council as it has transformed and broadened its scope to become the newly named Engineering Education Industrial Advisory Council. As Council Chair, he led the effort for council members to jointly fund an endowment in support of strategic initiatives within the School of Engineering Education.

Zadoks has encouraged the expansion of academic research in industry and worked to help create a PhD-level course focused on the key issue of the Baby Boom generation’s impending retirement and the need to capture the knowledge of these experienced engineers. He volunteers his time, taking vacation days to serve as lead teacher for the course.

Zadoks' loyalty to Purdue extends to memberships in the Purdue President’s Council, the College of Engineering Dean’s Club, and the Purdue Alumni Association. He also serves as a recruiter for Caterpillar and regularly recruits Purdue engineering students.
