CRISP is launching a student research competition separately for undergraduate and graduate students, who are working with faculty affiliated with CRISP. The first round will start Aug 23 and submissions will be due Sep 13 and then the finalists will present to a judging panel. There will be multiple prizes for each category.

This is the announcement of a concurrently running student research competition separately in two categories:
graduate students and undergraduate students. The students must be working with CRISP-affiliated faculty.
The competition will be in two stages.

Stage 1: Submit a two-page research statement. Deadline: September 13 (Mon) 11:59 pm EST
September 6 (Mon) 11:59 pm EST. - Stage 2: For those short listed based on stage 1, present your research accomplishments and vision to a panel of judges from the sponsors of CRISP and thought leaders at Purdue. Schedule: Week of September 20
Winners will be announced late September. In each category (graduate and undergraduate), subject to competitive submissions, there will be three prizes:
- Winner ($200)
- First runner up ($100)
- Second runner up ($50)
Structure for the research statement:
Cover page: Name, Advisor, Contact email and phone, Graduate/Undergraduate, Theme - pick one from Cyber resilience, Cyber-physical resilience, Socio-technical resilience.
Main content: (Limited to 2 pages, 11 pt font, single spacing, 1" margins)
1. Problem context
2. What you have done
3. What is your vision for future
4. References (do not count toward 2 page limit)
Include at least one figure to go with any of items 1, 2, or 3.
