Shirley Dyke, Professor of Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering, has been named the recipient of the 2022 George W. Housner Structural Control & Monitoring Medal, presented by the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE).

Shirley Dyke, Professor of Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering, has been named the recipient of the 2022 George W. Housner Structural Control & Monitoring Medal, presented by the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). The medal will be presented during the awards banquet and ceremony of the EMI 2022 conference to be held at Johns Hopkins University this coming June.

This medal is named for George W. Housner, Ph.D., M.ASCE who was a Professor at the California Institute of Technology and who is known for pioneering contributions to the field of structural control and monitoring of civil infrastructure systems. The medal was established by action of the Society on July 29, 2011.
