Thanos Tzempelikos, Professor of Civil Engineering, has been appointed as one of the Editors of Building & Environment journal. Building & Environment is the premier international Elsevier journal related to building science, urban physics, and human interaction with the indoor and outdoor built environment, with an impact factor of 7.09.

Building & Environment is the premier international Elsevier journal related to building science, urban physics, and human interaction with the indoor and outdoor built environment, with an impact factor of 7.09.

The focus topics of the journal include: smart technologies and integrated systems for high performance buildings; thermal comfort, ventilation, acoustic and visual performance in buildings and their impacts on human beings; air quality and airborne infection control in buildings; and solutions for mitigating environmental impacts and achieving low carbon, resilient, and sustainable built environments.

The Editor appointment is for three years, renewable for another three. The 10 Editors of Building & Environment are solely responsible for the entire editorial process and paper acceptance decisions.
