Why I chose Purdue Civil and Construction Engineering

Both my dad and brother went Purdue, so I already knew about what a great university it is. I’ve also always liked putting things together and breaking them apart, so I knew I wanted to pursue something in either science or engineering. Then I learned about the construction engineering program here and tools and workshops available to students and knew this would be a perfect fit for me.

Emphasis area

I am in the construction engineering program. I love the idea of working on largescale projects that will serve to benefit communities.

Greg is captain of fabrication for Purdue ASCE's steel bridge team.

Experience through internships

Another thing I love about the construction engineering program are the internship opportunities afforded to its students. The program does an incredible job connecting students to companies and alumni that can enhance your understanding of the field and prepare you for your career.

After I graduate

After I graduate, I want to enter the professional field and join a team that works on large-scale projects.
