Andrew is the 14th member of his family to attend Purdue.

Why I chose Purdue Civil and Construction Engineering

I grew up in a Purdue family and have loved visiting the campus for games all my life. I also wanted to go to a school that had a strong engineering program, so being able to come to the university I have always loved and earn a top education was just perfect for me.

Emphasis area

My emphasis area is in structural engineering. I am especially interested in historic buildings and maintaining and restoring them. I hope to one day be part of a project that can help preserve these structures.

Andrew loves playing the piano and was also a percussionist for Purdue Wind Ensemble.

Boilermaker tradition

I am the 14th member of my family to come to Purdue. Boilermaker life has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. It’s been incredible to be part of both Purdue’s and my family’s tradition, and I can’t imagine a better fit for me.

After I graduate

After I earn my Bachelor’s degree next year, I will be staying for one more year to earn my Master’s through Purdue Civil Engineering’s 4+1 Program. I am excited to gain more experience and a deeper understanding of civil engineering before I pursue my career.

Andrew's emphasis area is in structural engineering and hopes to be involved in historic building restoration projects one day.
