"Growth happens beyond the edges of what I know and where I feel comfortable."

Jeff Meredith exemplifies the power of a Purdue University education. After earning his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering in 1992, he launched a distinguished career that has spanned industries, continents, and leadership roles. After working as a Structural Engineer at Gannett Fleming in Pittsburgh, Jeff returned to Purdue to earn his MBA from the Krannert School of Management — now the Daniels School of Business — in 1997.

Jeff credits his Purdue engineering education with instilling a strong work ethic and teaching him how to tackle complex problems — foundational skills he has carried into every role throughout his career. That foundation has served him well as he built an impactful career across consumer technology and access solutions companies, living and working in Paris and Beijing along the way.

Today, as Chief Executive Officer of Chamberlain Group, a Blackstone Portfolio company, Jeff leads a multi-national corporation with more than 6,000 employees. Under his visionary leadership, the company has achieved remarkable growth with record revenue and profitability, transforming from a traditional hardware manufacturer into a technology leader in access solutions. Impressively, under his leadership, Chamberlain has pioneered innovations like the myQ platform, which currently boasts more than 15 million active users.

Prior to Chamberlain, Jeff held multiple executive leadership roles at Lenovo, including senior vice president and general manager of the $12 billion Global Consumer Division. His career also includes senior leadership positions at Imation Corporation, Lexmark International, and International Paper Company.

Jeff’s commitment and connection to Purdue runs deep. He has returned to campus to speak with civil engineering students, regularly attends basketball and football games and has actively recruited multiple Purdue graduates into his organizations throughout his career. He serves on the Advisory Board for Northwestern University’s Master of Science in Product Design and Development Management program and volunteers with Chicago Scholars.

Jeff and his wife, Debby — also a Purdue graduate — have three children, including their son Drew, who continued the family legacy by earning his industrial engineering degree from Purdue as well. Jeff and Debby reside in the Chicagoland area with their two Golden Retrievers, where Jeff is an avid White Sox and Bears fan.

Jeff’s career success demonstrates the strong foundation that a Purdue education provides — the combination of technical excellence, innovative thinking, and strong leadership. He is the type of leader that transforms industries and inspires others to do the same.
