Former lab member Dr. Kartik Srinivasan receives a School of Mechanical Engineering Outstanding Mechanical Engineer Award.

In fall we welcome the following new lab members: Tanner Ballance - postdoctoral researcher; Vasilis Karamitros - Lilian Gilbreth Postdoctoral Fellow, Charles MacWilliams - graduate student.

Our lab hosted teams of grandparents and grandchildren in the 2024 Purdue University Grant Parent University and the class “No Bones About It”. We had lots of fun breaking bone and exploring how bone mineral and collagen make up this fascinating biological tissue.

Elizabeth Montagnino received the 2023-2024 Robert M. Briney Achievement Award, School of Materials Engineering, Purdue University. This award recognizes research potential and accomplishments of first and second-year graduate students.

Glynn Gallaway received a Student Support Grant to attend ICTAM2024, the 26th International Congress of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics.
