Welcome for Fall 2024
In fall we welcome the following new lab members: Tanner Ballance - postdoctoral researcher; Vasilis Karamitros - Lilian Gilbreth Postdoctoral Fellow, Charles MacWilliams - graduate student.
Outreach
Our lab hosted teams of grandparents and grandchildren in the 2024 Purdue University Grant Parent University and the class “No Bones About It”. We had lots of fun breaking bone and exploring how bone mineral and collagen make up this fascinating biological tissue.
Tracer Grant

The mission of the Microstructure Testing and Analysis Laboratory is to advance the knowledge on the mechanics of engineering materials and biological materials under consideration of micro-scale effects and processes. Our research is concerned with the relationships between materials architecture, constitutive description, and the overall function of architectured and microstructured materials.
