We celebrated several notable events this fall:

Three students defended their MS theses in Fall 2016:

• Aalok Gaitonde on "Thermal Transport in Lithium Ion Batteries: An Experimental Investigation of Interfaces and Granular Materials". 
• Yash Ganatra on "Passive Thermal Management Using Phase Change Materials"
• Jiahong Fu on "Uncertainty Quantification on Industrial High Pressure Die Casting Process" (coadvised with Prof Matt Krane in MSE)

Yuqiang Zeng and Aalok Gaitonde each submitted their first journal papers!
