Dr. David Johnson is the Ravi and Eleanor Talwar Rising Star Associate Professor in the Edwardson School of Industrial Engineering, with a joint appointment in the Department of Political Science. He is also affiliated with the university’s Human Factors and Operations Research programs. His research interests include decision-making under uncertainty (particularly applied to climate change adaptation and environmental policy), flood risk modeling, sustainable agriculture, environmental risk communication, decision support tools, and multi-criteria tradeoff analysis.
Dr. Johnson received his PhD in Policy Analysis from the Pardee RAND Graduate School in 2013. He earned a Master of Advanced Study in Mathematics from the University of Cambridge in 2005 and a BS in Mathematics from North Carolina State University in 2003.
