Purpose: Monthly meeting of the ENE safety committee

1. New Business

-               3D Printing Club

o   All MSDS’s have been submitted to be input into our system and labels generated.

o   Need to meet with J. Huddleston to finalize training requirements and documentation.

2. Review of College of Engineering Safety Committee Meeting Minutes

-               No meeting since May

3. Review of Open Safety Items List

-               Lt. Wietbrock performed another tour of WANG, taking photographs.  He will issue a report with recommendations.

-               New slides will be prepared for ENGR 131/132 that will include proper cord protocol in B098 as well as proper skateboard storage.

-               Need to find a graduate student representative for the Safety Committee.  Have reached out to David Evenhouse for suggestions.

4. Review of Near Miss Log

-               Continued concern for students walking and texting and jumping the guardrails in the road median.

5. New Items

-               Will contact Loretta to get a schedule of arrival for new graduate students.

-               The next staff safety talk will include a focus on “See something/Say Something” and who they can bring concerns to if they are not comfortable addressing a situation

-               Will encourage faculty, advisors and all members of the safety committee to attend QPR training in the fall.
