1. New Business - March 22 Severe Weather Drill o The sirens were heard in the upper floors of ARMSTRONG and in WANG. o The Alertus message came at different times to different PC’s o No Purdue text alerts were received. o There has been initial discussion with the COE Safety Chair, with follow-up planned for the next COE Safety Meeting. - 3D Printing Club o Purdue’s 3D Printing Club will be moving (2) new 3D printers into the Prototyping Studio. A full laboratory safety review will be conducted prior to occupancy. 2. Review of College of Engineering Safety Committee Meeting Minutes - No meeting 3. Review of Open Safety Items List - Work on the WANG BEP is on hold until the Building Deputy is reached (Jill) - The signs in the stairwells have been installed. Stickers on the railings state “Restricted Area – Do Not Cross.” - WANG walk through is scheduled for Thursday, March 31 at 11:30 am. 4. Review of Near Miss Log - Storage for skateboards and scooters o The warm weather has seen an increase in the students bringing skateboards and scooters to class. The students do not always store them safely during class. § The importance of storing them out of traffic areas will be reinforced at the ENGR 131/132 teaching team meetings. § The safety slides will be updated - Stairwell Cleanliness o There has been an improvement in stairwell cleanliness. |
