1. New Business

Discussed Wang Hall safety items
-
Need to develop ENE sections for the WANG BEP, will explore and consider options
-
Need to scout out locations for HazCom/RTK materials (kitchenette is a good location)
-
Will need to conduct move-in audits once the transition is complete
-
Discussed regular audits during initial setup to ensure no safety issues are present
-
Safety impact for AFL extended hours

Extended hours begin on 2/3/15

AFL graduate assistants have been trained on supervision and procedures for extended hours

Will monitor and revise policies as required

Results of Purdue Alert system test on 1/29/15

Conducted a test of the i2i/AFL radios; everything went well

FYE instructors addressed emergency response procedures with their classes
2. Review of College of Engineering Safety Committee Meeting Minutes

No meeting held in January
3. Review of Open Safety Items List
-
Item #37: Closed. Train the trainer sessions were held during the week of January 19th. All AFL TAs attended a session. Audits are planned, and impromptu training will be conducted through the semester.
4. Review of Open Near Miss Items
-
Item #36: Updated. Procedures will be put in place in the AFL to require cut proof gloves when working in the Boneyard and operating the horizontal band saw and metal vertical band saw.
