CEGSAC is excited to announce the 4th year of our Annual Research Symposium on Friday, April 21, 2023, at Forney Hall.
The research symposium is an excellent platform for researchers, scholars, and students to showcase their innovative ideas, research findings, and knowledge. Each of you has significantly contributed to civil engineering, and we encourage you to share your research with the Purdue community. In addition, we will have guests from more than 15 companies: AECOM, Ansys, Burke Engineering, CE Solutions, CMT, HNTB, INDOT, JQOL, Pankow Foundation, SGH, SpaceX, VS Engineering, Wessler Engineering, WJE, WSP, and more.
CEGSAC will host networking sessions, lunch with industry representatives, and info sessions in this year's edition. In addition, all the companies are actively recruiting, so bring your resume if you are in the job market!
The poster session is an excellent opportunity to share your research with a broader audience and participate for $100, $75, and $50 in prizes for first, second, and third place. Last year's winners, chosen from 22 participants by a panel of industry representatives, are highlighted below:
- 1st Place in the 2022 edition: Morgan Broberg (Structures - Dr. Amit Varma)
- 2nd Place: Ricardo Chahine (Transportation - Dr. Nadia Gkritza), Ata Taghipour (Structures - Dr. Amit Varma)
- 3rd Place: Manuel Salmeron & Nichole Criner (Structures - Dr. Shirley Dyke), Chandan Kanakamedala (Structures - Dr. Amit Varma)
