Beth Holloway, director of the Women in Engineering Program (WIEP) and Student Success for the College of Engineering, recently received the Helen B. Schleman Gold Medallion award from the Purdue chapter of Mortar Board.

Beth Holloway Holloway receives new directorship

Beth Holloway, director of the Women in Engineering Program, is remaining in that role while taking on new responsibilities as the new director of Student Success in the College of Engineering. Holloway's new appointment, effective Jan. 14, was announced by Leah Jamieson, the John A. Edwardson Dean of Engineering.

Kathryn "Katie" Smith, a Ph.D. student in chemical engineering, has been awarded the Fran Allen Ph.D. Fellowship Award by IBM. The fellowship, established in 2007, is given to one female Ph.D. student annually based on her "outstanding technical accomplishments and commitment to mentoring and community-building."

Elizabeth Holloway, director of the Women in Engineering Program, has been chosen to receive the Society of Women Engineers' Outstanding Faculty Advisor Award.
