Purdue EEE undergrad Aaron Harp is participating in one of three Purdue teams chosen to advance to the Environmental Protection Agency P3 Student Design Contest.

John Paul Pieper is a Purdue EEE undergrad constantly on the move. It is Sunday and Pieper has just finished running his 90th mile of the week, 35 hours spent lapping the Purdue campus and the sidewalks of West Lafayette, the equivalent of a full-time job. In addition to training year-round as a long-distance runner, Pieper spends 15+ hours weekly conducting lab research, no small feat when completing not one, but two degrees in the College of Engineering.

By comparing the grocery shopping of people in the US to recommended dietary guidelines, researchers found that reducing overconsumption could cut carbon emissions by a similar amount as going vegetarian.

EEE PhD student Kendrick Hardaway has been selected as a Latinx Trailblazers in Engineering Fellow by the Purdue University College of Engineering.

Purdue EEE graduate student Taymee Brandon was awarded a 2021 Ford Foundation Predoctoral Fellowship from the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine.

A team of four EEE researchers were awarded a $30,000 seed grand from the Shah Family Global Innovation Lab. The winning team includes professors Amisha Shah, Chad Jafvert, George Zhou, as well as EEE grad student Sruthi Dasika.

EEE undergrad Ava Riaziat was awarded a First-Time Undergraduate Research Fellowship from the Engineering Undergraduate Research Office (EURO). For her research project, Riaziat predicted crop loss in plants due to disease under the guidance of Dr. Dharmendra Saraswat.
