Research Interests
Dr. Assad "Sid" Iqbal is a Visiting Assistant Professor in the School of Engineering Education at Purdue University. With more than 15 years of experience teaching undergraduate engineering students, Dr. Iqbal's work spans national and international settings, focusing on democratizing engineering education, broadening participation in engineering, and enhancing engineering students' learning experiences. He has contributed to several NSF-funded projects, including the Engineering for US All (e4usa), a national collaboration initiative to demystify and democratize engineering at the pre-college level. He is a co-PI on the NSF-funded project e4usa +FIRST, which aims to scale the collective impact through pre-college robotics curricula.
