This Sunday, Dr. Phil Wankat will officially retire from the Purdue University College of Engineering. Together with Chemical Engineering, family, and friends, we celebrated last week his 47-year career.

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Three Purdue University faculty members in the College of Engineering won 2017 Faculty Early Career Development awards from the National Science Foundation, one of the most prestigious NSF honors for outstanding young researchers.

Last week, Profs. Allison Godwin and Tamara Moore hosted 180 middle school students from two Indiana schools to test their First-Year Engineering students' space-related educational exhibit prototypes and take-home activities.

Kimani Whitsey won 2nd place in this year’s sixth annual Lake Max Film Fest held this past weekend in Culver, Indiana.

In classrooms across the United States, children increasingly study engineering along with science and mathematics — partly because engineering is one cornerstone of the Next Generation Science Standards, released in 2013 and now being implemented in many states.

Many of our faculty and graduate students traveled to El Paso last week to share their latest research in engineering education. The conference, Frontiers in Education (FIE), is an international platform sponsored by the IEEE Computer and IEEE Education Societies as well as the ASEE Educational Research and Methods Division. Associate Professor Senay Purzer served as co-chair for the conference. Assistant Professor Joyce Main received the 2015 FIE New Faculty Fellowship Award. Congratulations to Joyce!
